Pebble Pups

If adults are rock hounds, what are kids?  Pebble pups!

The CDG&MS used to have a very active pebble pups program, but in years past it has languished.  We’re working on reviving an interest in science and rocks among kids, and have numerous family memberships.  We have the kids – now we just need the kid activities!

The American Federation of Mineralogical Societies has solved part of that problem in their badge program, the Future Rockhounds of America.  Similar to what you might find in the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts programs, these badges help encourage kids to take an active part in learning about the world around them.

Badge program FAQ

Because the CDG&MS holds families from all across ND, we understand that you can’t make club meetings each month.  So to make things as accessible as possible, we’ll try to do as much of this Online / through e-mail / in video form as possible.
