The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm by President Kevin Vetter on February 3rd, 2019 at the Bismarck Public Library. Officers in attendance were Vice President, Brenda Morgan; Treasurer, Victor Wingerter; and Secretary, Darrel Spencer. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the club members introduced themselves.
Treasurer Vic Wingerter reported that the CDG&MS has $8,426.67 in the bank with all bills paid. Victor also mentioned that members need to renew their 2019 membership dues. The report was then approved.
Secretary, Darrel Spencer read the minutes from January’s, 2019 CDG&MS meeting and they were approved.
Brenda Morgan reported that 25 different CDG&MS members had expressed an interest in setting up tables for display or to sell items at the Gateway Fashion Mall for their “Creative Energy Event.” If any other members are interested, they should contact her. Brenda mention that the Mall would take care of the table set up & advertising. Since this event was not sponsored by the CDG&MS, individuals would be responsible for any North Dakota sales tax incurred.
New Business: None.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
Brenda presented a fascinating program about Crystal Healing. Certain crystals/rocks & rare earths not only have physical properties that aid in our industrial society, they also aid in our physical & physic well being. The program included a handout with a list of metaphysical crystals that may aid in healing.
Other tentative 2019 meeting programs include:
March 17 – Rock Trimming by Russ Oliger
April 7 – Florescent Show and Tell by Ray Oliger;
June 2 – could be a Metal Detecting Demonstration.
