Minutes from the November 5, 2017 meeting of the CDG&MS.  Tom Tupa, acting Secretary.

The meeting was called to order by President Kevin Vetter at 2:00 pm at the Bismarck Library.

After the Pledge of Allegiance and member introductions were held, the Pres opened the discussion on the Annual show which was held on October 13 and 14 at the Am Vets club in Bismarck.

Members discussed and suggested extending the show hours, adding Sunday as an extra day, changing the dates and location to a different venue, adding more instructional exhibits, increasing show promotion, changing the vendor table rates, charging admission, as well as other suggestions.

Other topics were also discussed by the membership to include more activities and field trips for the membership during the summer months.  Several members were going to visit with land owners to determine accessibility to land for rock outings by the membership.

After a healthy debate on the annual show, no conclusions were reached but a committee to evaluate the suggestions was suggested.  The committee lead by Tom T. will meet to consider the suggestions and come back to the membership with a plan for the 2018 annual show.
